"Espionage, Sabotage, and Paralegal Studies"
The Disappearance by John Jeffries can be found in our local author fiction section, although the author refers to this novel as "heavily fact-based fiction (or faction)." But it is the author of this book who makes it so facinating.

"Currently semi-retired from the traditional work force, John Jeffries served for over a decade as a counter-intelligence officer, special agent, intelligence analyst, and linguist. Her performed national security investigations and intelligence special operations on four continents in the areas of espionage, sabotage, VIP protection, and terrorism. Currently working with his wife Carol on degrees in theology and Bible studies, John had degrees in marketing management and paralegal studies.

Recommended by another local author, this novel by Ozark native, Bruce Maggard, is set in the 1887 Ozark hills. Though this novel is fiction, it is based on true events and its characters depict both real and imaginary people.

A word from the author: “Since you are reading this I owe you a great debt. You, or someone on your behalf has chosen to spend their hard-earned money on my novel and you are about to invest a significant portion of your time reading it... Thank you for this opportunity.”

We love our local authors and the stories they share! Visit Bruce's Facebook page to stay up to date with him!
